Could we have more control over the font color?  I can't match my Windows text color because of the limited selection in Win32Pad.  Thanks.

You *could* change the win32pad.ini file.

My 2 cents...this is a functional notepad replacement, not a rich text editor. Don't add a ton of stuff that would slow it down and make it too bulky!

Anyhoo...I noticed the "different colored toolbar in Windows XP" issue has returned.

It doesn't affect the function, just the appearance.

Thank you for the awesome program...I use it every day!

1. Bug: (requires statusbar to reproduce): Cursor is shown in Statusbar when resizing window (Create/load text, move cursor to any visible line at the bottom and resize window so that statusbar gets over current cursor position)

2. What about a 'Use windows system colors' feature... don't want either to change color settings seperate

3. Hex-Editor support: User can define an external hexeditor if file is a binary file and launch this via shortcut (if defined)

4. Win32Pad supports large files up to system memory: great, but opening large files takes LOTS of time. As I use win32pad as default opening mode for unknown files this can nerv. Maybe you can add a question wheter to open or not, or hexeditor (see 3.; suggest if definded only, of course)

5. I would prefer a seperate menu (e.g. named 'Search...' for search/goto line/replace functions.

Hi

Do you consider using UPX compressing utility on Win32pad? It will make the .exe just 20 Kb. Get upx from upx.sourceforge.net

A suggestion for a Print Preview.

Looks good...
Slight problem with line-numbering and goto - they both consider word-wrapped lines to be new lines. Might be a bit tricky to work around, but in my opinion the correct behaviour would be to increment the line-number only for genuine line-breaks.

Weeble.

Just like to say Win32Pad is handy and very nice to have!

One feature I would love to see in future versions is a more advanced search/replace - I'm not sure what this would do the program size/performace.
I've often had to switch to Word to use the search/replace function in there were you can have it find line breaks and such.

Or even a regex search ? '<img'>

Just some ideas for the future.
