Win32Pad 1.5.8

I just wanted to send you a BIG THANK YOU for coding such great editor!

I found it today, it's what I am searching for since I can remember!

I am ready to pay an extra 5 KB for tabbing feature, as you know programmers opens many file at the same time.

I have been using this program for ages, and it rocks! Thanks Gennady!

There is just one little thingy, I use search & replace a lot, and when the search/replace is done, the focus is on win32pad, and not on the search window.
Can you find a way to have the search/replace window active again after searching, so you can either press escape to exit that window, or do a new search?

I am not sure what you mean. I just tested this on Windows 2000 and Win32Pad 1.5.8 leaves the focus in both Find  and Find/Replace dialogs. I can just type or press to cancel. Please provide a reproducable testcase for this.

I have "tested" this on Win98SE, Win2K Server, and WinXP SP2 just now using 1.5.9, but this focus problem has been there ever since I started using Win32Pad, and that is a looong time ago. It may have been present when I was running Win95 and Win98SE.

It does not matter if I use a fresh install of the OS, or one that has been running for years, I simply do not get the focus back on the Search-replace window.

Looks like a plain Find (F3), or the Find (Next) button in Find & Replace (Ctrl+H) maintains focus.  The Replace dialog is highlighted, blue.

A Replace, or Replace All looses focus.  The Replace dialog is gray.

It may only be a cosmetic issue?  I don't see where it affects usage?

This is on 1.5.9, XP SP2.

It affects usage in the way that you do a replace all and want to do another. I often use Win32Pad to clean up html generated by other programs, which include all kinds of junk code. (Think of MS Word with all its and
